Gutster on the Roof
We’ve been following a discussion on the Journal of Light Construction website about using The Gutster for removing roof shingles. While the Gutster can handle almost anything you can throw at it, sometimes there are other tools that are a better choice for the job at hand.
When you’re looking at removing just shingles from a roof, tools like The Shingle Eater are great! They’re probably a better choice for that job than pulling out your Gutster. But when you get into the job, and find the water damage is much more extensive than you thought, or there are 3 roofs stacked on top of each other, it’s time to grab your Gutster, and really get going on taking the roof off.
When the underlying plywood, tongue and groove board, or structural lumber needs to be removed, save your Shingle Eater for the next job. The Gutster saves you time, saves your shovel and saves your back.
